New Book Release - Stop Googling Yourself
After 5 years I finally finished my second book. It is expected to be released summer 2016.
Synopsis:
With a world filled with email, social
media and smart phones, one would think life would be a lot simpler, so much
more peaceful. Instead, we have become accustomed to a life of multitasking and
trying to complete the never ending “To Do List.” We have forgone peace for
busyness and wonder why our lives are overtaken by the noises of this world.
We work the 60 hour work week trying
to climb the ladder of success, only to find the ladder was leaning on the
wrong wall.
We buy the bigger homes in hopes it
will make us more comfortable then find ourselves uncomfortable with the
monthly mortgage payments.
We enroll our children in every
activity imaginable and wonder why we don’t have time.
Our lives are jam-packed with so much
noise it’s not a surprise that many can’t hear the still small voice of God.

Peace in a Noisy World, Orlando Javien Jr. shares the noises in his own life in
hopes that it will help others turn down the volume and live a life beyond ordinary.

Upcoming Event - Cursillo in Action - San Diego
Last week I had the great opportunity to speak to 50+ young adults at the Theology on Tap event held by the Diocese of San Diego. I met some wonderful people hungry to learn how to form an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. It was held at Mangia Italiano - Chula Vista. If you are ever in the area check it out and try the Rigatoni Fra Diavolo with Sausage. It is Fabulous! The owner Kathy is the best. Even though they were closing up she stayed and served my cousin and I.

"Cursillo in Action"
The San Diego Cursillo is a graced movement of over 50 years. The movement gives Catholics a method to connect with our Lord each day, and consists of a lay method based on small lessons in Christianity. This has proven to be very effective when dealing with daily challenges that occur in all of our lives. The Purpose of “Cursillo in Action” is to continue to improve our relationship with Jesus Christ and our community through increased knowledge of the Cursillo movement and our Catholic faith. To persist and lead by example in all of our daily environments.
